Bradley Farm Wave (Competitive Team) - 2026 Registration
Before you complete this form, please take a moment to review the information below. It covers eligibility, what the season includes, fees, your practice time selection, and the key ongoing responsibilities for competitive team families.
This form is for registering Bradley Farm Wave Swimmers
If you need to register Junior Wave swimmers, please select the Junior Wave Registration form from the Register page. If you are registering swimmers for both programs this summer, please submit two forms.
Is My Swimmer Eligible?
- Your family must be a current resident of the Bradley Farm or Emerald Chase HOA and in good standing with your association.
- Swimmers must be age 4 or older.
- Swimmers must be able to swim across the length of the pool without assistance. Coaches assess this at the start of the season. If your swimmer cannot swim 25 yards unassisted, please register for the Junior Wave.
- Previous knowledge of competitive strokes is not required to join the Bradley Farm Wave.
About the Bradley Farm Wave
The Wave is a developmental competitive swim team and proud member of the Herndon Swim League (HSL). The focus is on building real stroke technique, racing experience, and confidence in the water — in a supportive, community-oriented league.
Swimmers are organized into Practice Squads by skill level (not just age), so everyone is coached at the right level. The competitive season includes two meets per week — Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings — against other HSL teams.

Registering Multiple Swimmers

- If you also have a swimmer joining Junior Wave, that swimmer requires a separate registration form — each program has its own form.
Volunteering
Meets are run by parent volunteers, and your participation is essential to keeping meet days running smoothly for everyone. This form asks for your volunteer job preferences for the season — volunteer roles are assigned at meets throughout the summer.
Meet Declarations — Your #1 In-Season Responsibility
After you register, declaring your swimmer for each meet is the most important ongoing task for competitive team families. Coaches build the lineup from declarations — missing a deadline means your swimmer may not be placed in events.
| Meet | Declaration Deadline |
|---|---|
| Wednesday evening meets | Monday |
| Saturday morning meets | Thursday |
Declarations are managed through your SwimTopia account throughout the season.
